Diaries are to neglect as blogging is to....

as blogging is to neglect also?

Hmm it seems i haven't been here as much as i wanted to in the past month or so....

So a lot of things have happened over the time i haven't been blogging- like school starting, computer falling out of a tree, my new found crush(es), and hanging out with the wrong people.

"excuse me sir gangster but i think your trousers are descending" ( true story)

anyways, today we had this assembly called Rachel's Challenge.

Here's the gist:
Many of you might know what the killing at columbine was but if you don't, it is the largest school shooting in history. The shooting took place on April 20th 1999. The very first person to get killed was Rachel Scott. The shooting left 13 people dead and i don't even remember how many were left injured. So after Rachel died, her dad found an essay under her bed that contained her ethics and morals. It was about how she believed that doing something kind could start a trainn reaction. What she wanted to do was make people of all different types feel comfortable and secure at their school. She wanted to change the world. She wrote in her diary every day about her feelings toward being kind and morality and also, near her last days, she wrote about creulty and death. The wacky part was that she would always say that she was going to die young. She made it sound like a plain fact of life like how the sky is blue or the dirt is brown. She was totally comfortable with it. Ten minutes before she died she drew a picture of a set of eyes with 13 tears streaming down and puring in to the ground where soemthing was growing. No one knows how she knew but the 13 tears came to match with the 13 people that were killed. The flower growing out of the ground stood for her legacy and her morals spreading, "growing". Days before the discovery of the image, a man calls Rachel's dad and tells him of a vision of the drawing though he had never seen it before. Her dad thought he was crazy but kept his contact information anyways. After the discovery of the drawing, Rachel's father found the random man was right.

Rachel made a huge imapct at her school by making sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable at her school and her legacy has been carried on throughout school assemblies worldwide.
The motive of the assemblies is to encourage people to go out of their comfort zones to help people in need.
